The Project

A cross-border programme to accelerate your digital and sustainable transformation.

Cross-border context and challenges

The T²D²-PME project operates in a cross-border context defined by a dual strategic imperative: accelerating thedigital transformation of SMEs while fully embracing sustainability.

In Wallonie and the Hauts-de-France region , SMEs form the backbone of the local economy and face structurally similar challenges — limited resources, complex issues, and the need to fundamentally rethink their business models to build resilience, competitiveness and lasting impact.

Despite the geographic and economic proximity of the two territories, these shared challenges persist and call for a coordinated, structured and cross-border response.

« “Fundamentally transforming business models to strengthen the resilience, competitiveness and sustainable impact of SMEs at a cross-border scale.”».

INTERREG COOPERATION

SHARED OBJECTIVE:

Accelerate the twin transition of cross-border SMEs.

Very real obstacles

Four major challenges have been identified on both sides of the border, affecting SMEs in Wallonia and Hauts-de-France.

01

Lack of time and internal resources

SME leaders lack the time and human resources to build a structured, concrete approach to twin transition.

02

Difficulty articulating both transitions

Integrating digital transformation and sustainable transition in a truly coherent way is complex. The two dimensions are often treated in silos, with no shared vision.

03

Need for methodological support

There is a strong demand for concrete, operationally relevant support. Generic tools simply don’t address the specific constraints each business faces.

04

Leadership isolation

Business leaders face complex, fast-moving challenges — often alone. The lack of peer networks and exchange forums amplifies the feeling of strategic isolation.

A cross-border response

Faced with these shared challenges, T²D²-PME deploys a coordinated response with Walloon and French partners, built around a shared methodological framework.

Clear and structured vision

Integrate digital and sustainability at the heart of your strategy through a co-built diagnosis and a shared vision across the entire organisation.
